As fiduciaries, our clients’ interests always come first and ahead of our own while adhering to our duty of care and loyalty to the client.  Given our institutional heritage where fiduciary responsibility is “table stakes”, we wouldn’t have it any other way.  As a fee only registered investment advisor, we don’t offer any proprietary products and fully disclose any conflicts of interest.  Our fee structure is simple, transparent and aligned with our clients. 

Financial advisors who work for brokerages generally are not fiduciaries. These non-fiduciary advisors must offer investment advice and product recommendations that are suitable for you.  However, products that meet “suitability” standards but may have higher fees or commissions.  Indeed, a 2018 Wall Street Journal article outlined how financial consultants at three large firms garnered greater compensation for selling high-fee products.[1]

As a Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) and a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) charterholder, we are held to the highest ethical, fiduciary and professional standards.  Without deviation, we remain our client’s loyal servants in guiding and protecting their capital.
